John Walsh

General Manager

General Manager John Walsh brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience to Bob's Steak & Chop House, with a career rooted in luxury hospitality, food and beverage operations, and team development. An Austin native, John has held leadership roles with Princess Cruises' land-based operations in Alaska, Stein Eriksen Lodge, Waldorf Astoria Park City, and KITA at Pendry Park City. He returned to Austin to lead Bob's Steak & Chop House at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. 

John believes exceptional hospitality begins with anticipating guests' needs and creating experiences that feel both personal and genuine. Passionate about mentoring and developing teams, he is committed to fostering an environment where guests feel welcomed, valued, and eager to return. An avid traveler who has visited more than 50 countries, as well as a licensed pilot, John brings a unique global perspective to hospitality and a deep appreciation for the universal power of a warm welcome.

Andre Decker

Chef

Executive Chef Andre Decker brings more than 32 years of restaurant experience to Bob’s Steak & Chop House, with a career rooted in premier steakhouses and classic American dining. He has honed his craft at respected establishments including Ruth’s Chris, Daniel’s Broiler, Stanley & Seafort’s, Ram Brewing Company, Spazzo’s, and ER Rogers, gaining experience across all aspects of kitchen operations.

Chef Decker is known for leading with care and consistency, always looking out for his team. Time spent with his son outside the kitchen keeps him grounded and shapes the thoughtful, people-first approach he brings to his culinary leadership
